Textile, patterns

Dodo Newman had her first introduction to patterns when she started her fashion design studies in Firenze, Italy. This is where she got introduced to the magic of the world of textures, patterns, colours on textiles.

Later, while experiencing on various techniques, Dodo Newman passionately used and experimented with various materials in her artworks.

It was not always the colours but also the forms they created as exciting patterns, that motivated her and moved her to find always new textures on canvas, plexiglass and glass too.

Since an early age Dodo Newman has had a passion for Japanese textiles, patterns, colours, which she has blended with her own elements that has developed through her artistic inspirations and experiences.
